AKRON PRIDE FESTIVAL
DRAG BATTLE
WHEN: Saturday, May 18, 2024
WHERE: Akron Civic Theatre
WHAT: Contestants compete for the title of Drag Artist of the Year 2024 and a cash prize of $500!
Contestant registration fee is $25 (non-refundable).
Contestants must live within a 60 mile radius of Akron, OH.
** Contestant registration opens March 4, 2024 at 12:00pm and will close April 19, 2024.
Contestants will be judged on presentation and on-stage performance. There are only 12 spots available!
This year, the theme for Presentation is Colors of Pride. The options are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. There are two spots available for each color. Contestants will be asked for their 1st and 2nd choice of color when receiving their confirmation e-mail. Color choice is on a first come first serve basis.
** Note: Participation in the Drag Battle is NOT a prerequisite to perform at Akron Pride Festival. Registration for the Akron Pride Festival drag shows will be announced at a later date.
